Overview

We love this piece not only because it's fun to listen to and play but because it's very versatile as well. While we chose to categorize it as an ensemble piece, it could easily be a long warm up/exercise, so however you see it best fitting into your program by all means, use it that way! Ranked as "novice" this is a tune that should be very accessible to newer ensembles.

Speaking of versatility, technically there are six parts but you could easily put several people on the marimba, vibes, xylophone, and synth parts and if you wanted you could even double up (or more?) the auxiliary percussion part!

So whether you're looking for a longer, more music-oriented warm up/exercise, or if you're looking for something to play at a fall/spring concert, Etude No. 7 can fit nicely into any percussion curriculum.
